Fancy hassle free roast dinner? Try one of our quick and easy roast recipes which can be on the table in under one hour apart from marinating time. Our recipe minimise the number of dishes to be washed. You only need one-pan to roast, save you lots of time and keep your kitchen clean on busy weeknights! This can be made with any seasonal vegetables too. Itadakimasu.

Ingredients

  • 700g Kobe or Wagyu Block

  • 1 tbsp Wagyu Tallow

  • 1 Large Onion (grated)

  • 1/2 Carrot (peeled and quartered)

  • 2 Garlic Cloves (crushed)

  • 4 Medium Potatoes (quartered)

  • 1/2 Celery (quartered)

  • 1 tsp Sea Salt

  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

  • 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds

  • 1 tbsp Sage

  • 1 tbsp Chives

Method

  1. Season the beef all over with sea salt and black pepper. Place it in a large bowl. Add the onion, toss to coat and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  2. Heat the tallow in a non-stick frying pan then add the garlic, cook on a medium heat until it turns golden. Remove the tallow and garlic.

  3. Add the beef and cook until browned all over.

  4. Preheat an oven to 230°C fan/450°F/gas 8.

  5. Place the beef onto a sheet of tin foil over a baking tray. Season with the cumin seeds, sage and chives. Place the carrot, potatoes and celery over the beef and wrap it.

Transfer to the oven and cook for 30mins.

 

Serve with your favourite red wine!
