What’s Fuji Wagyu Cross?
The crossbred commercial Wagyu is called F1 Japanese Wagyu. The first cross of a Wagyu full-blood 100% cattle over another breed is introduced as an F1. Further crossing of Wagyu is generally referred to as breeding up. F1 = Crossbred Wagyu 50%, F2 = Crossbred Wagyu 75%, F3 = Crossbred Wagyu 87%. Traceability tracking is available on

Kobe is undoubtedly the king of beef, and the Japanese Wagyu comes in 2nd. Fuji Wagyu Cross is just below Japanese Wagyu. It has a less marbling pattern compare to Wagyu. However, Wagyu has a full flavour and the silky texture of lean meat, and it’s perfect for steak.
Kobe and Wagyu have an own grading system, e.g. A1 to A5, B1 to B5. It should apply to F1 Wagyu. The best quality of F1 is ranked B5. There is no A5 for those crossbred cattle. B5 Japanese F1 beef often refers to as better than A2 Wagyu. It has a more intense marbling pattern and softer.
